Freight Information


HAT Contract is not responsible for damage that occurred in transit or during storage. Before accepting a shipment from the carrier, customer should carefully review the packing list and inspect the quantity and condition of the items.

For any external damage, customer should document all damage on the Bill of Lading and request a carrier inspection of the product.

Concealed damage must be reported to the Carrier and HAT Contract in writing, within 48 hours of delivery. In the event of damage, customer shall accept the order and contact Customer Service for issue resolution. We will take all reasonable measures to assist customers in resolving claims for loss or damage.

Products are shipped F.O.B. shipping point with freight costs and handling fees prepaid. See Freight Zone Map for more information.

*National Landed Freight

Freight is prepaid to Port of Seattle for shipments to Alaska. Freight is prepaid to Port of Oakland for shipments to Hawaii. Orders under $1500.00 net will have a freight surcharge.

Bay Area orders require will call. Freight surcharge of 5% of net applied if shipping required within the Bay Area.

HAT Contract reserves the right to charge the customer for non-standard customer delivery requirements. These may include special requests for lift gates, appointment delivery, residential delivery, inside delivery, etc. For information concerning these charges, please contact Customer Service.

Standard courier shipments are made via common carrier, unless otherwise specified by customer. Special routing requests made by the customer may result in additional charges to the purchaser.

Standard LTL shipments are dock-to-dock and are scheduled to depart Monday through Friday between 7 AM and 2 PM.

HAT Contract shipments are not guaranteed. Should you require guaranteed service please contact Customer Service. We will work to arrange a specific delivery timetable with the carrier, charges may apply.

Will Call orders will have a confirmed pick up date. Customers will have three (3) business days from notification to pick up their order. If the order is not picked up within this time frame, storage charges may apply.
